We are HUGE rock and metal fans. Dustin has been attending concerts since he was young and his favorite performer is Metallica.
FUN FACT! My first rock concert was Ted Nugent in the 90s.
We attended the Blue Ridge Rock Fest in Virginia in September 2019. We adopted Sid about 2 weeks before we left so this was her first adventure! Here she is in the truck on our way down! Never stopped looking out the window. Woof woof!!
The festival was a 2 day event and had a ton of bands lined up. Many of my favorites were attending and we had to go! It was out in the middle of a huge field which was awesome but needed a lot of tweaks to their set up. Here is the lineup.. if you are a rock fan you will see why we had to go!!
Downfalls...
Not enough food for the amount of people there...They ran out...ATM's didn't work. Square Readers wouldn't work. OOOO my. That's what you get for being in the middle of a field!
We didn't realize we had to pay for parking before we got there! $40 bucks a day. What the heck. On top of it, their square reader wasn't working so they had to hand write a parking pass... SMH. 👎

We had a blast up until the 2nd night when the field became a huge dust and smoke bowl. There were no specific areas for smoking so it was too much for us so we left early which meant beating the traffic nightmare!! #score
2020 BRRF was cancelled due to COVID-19, but we had planned on attending. Here's to the next event!
